Musical Workshops
Musical workshops are fun. It is an exciting opportunity for clever people to test their skills by learning a simple riff. Some of our clients have arranged this for their children as part of a fun day with inflatable play features and this appears to be the most successful format. Corporate clients have used the workshops as a feature for team building as the bandleader stages a competition based on a popular test piece and awards a prize to the winning team.
Musical Compositions
Big Sand works with a number of experienced and accomplished musicians with colourful creative reflexes. This creates an excellent resource for media and marketing companies seeking compositions, samples, loops and sound tracks for commercial productions. Big Sand can develop specific pieces of music to compliment the campaign for a new product or event. Alternatively, new recordings of an existing piece can be arranged to suit the look and feel of an advert, film or other production.
Nowadays, it is possible to compose music on any instrument and use software to generate a manuscript of the composition. This makes it very easy for an arranger to develop the music with a full orchestra for commercial recording, etc. A composition which originated from a steel drum can be performed by any other instrument and used successfully for a production. Big Sand enjoys working on commercial projects and is seeking more challenging and innovative concepts to compose music. The band can also compose meaningful lyrics to fit melodies for the same purpose.
